| Sheesh, this band's only been together a couple years and have already gone through what?, ..9, 10 drummers already??!! Andy got tired of losing them to all these high paying national acts, so Mike comes in signing a 10 year contract. That's fine with Mike. He's had enough of the long roads and big stages himself. Back in Ohio to stay, Mike just wants to have a little fun on the week-ends. Hooking up with these crazy veterans should give him all the entertainment value he can handle! | |||||||||
| Mike's inspiration came from being a young stage hand for the great Buddy Rich. His most important chore back then was sleeping in the van to keep an eye on the equipment while the band members slept in the motels. After that, he spent a lot of time playing the major jazz scene in New Orleans. There was the 4 year stint in the 70's touring with Chuck Berry which finally allowed Mike to stay inside motels. The 80's brought some futile efforts trying to land record deals with a metal band. When the lead singer got hauled off to prison, mike sought a "less edgy" venue. A high paying job in the top "Elvis" impersonator show kept Mike in a nice swing between Vegas and Broadway for quite a while. When that ended in 2004, Mike cashed in all his pension pay and headed back to Ohio to just settle in a bit. Spending time with his family is now only interrupted with the occaisional craziness of an ALB party. Welcome back Mike! | |||||||||
